Keynote Speaker – Usec. Maria Victoria Castro

DICT Undersecretary for Digital Philippines Marivic Castro gave a warm welcome to the participants and spoke about the value of Government Digital Transformation partners like Sinag Solutions in supporting the countries’ digital journey.  Usec. Castro begins her keynote speech with “As the future becomes increasingly digital, we move one step closer to fully achieving digital transformation, as the lead agency that is mandated to develop and promote the use of ICT in the country, your DICT continues to champion various programs, projects, and initiatives to drive digital transformation in the nation. To achieve digitalization, internet connection is imperative as the key enabler of economic growth and a key driver of our ICT competitiveness. The availability of quality and affordable internet services across the Philippines especially the countryside and remote areas is essential for digital transformation. Aside from connectivity, we are also working towards improving efficiency in the delivery of public services by bringing more government transactions online. We are also focused on the implementation of capacity-building initiatives to ensure the inclusivity of our efforts. With this, we fully support Sinag Solutions, which is making headway in innovating business practices in the private sector.”

Usec. Castro then acknowledges the work that Sinag Solutions has done over the past 10 years by stating, “Sinag Solutions has been supporting the DICT’s goal of advancing digital transformation in the Philippines and Asia in the past decade. On behalf of DICT, let me congratulate Sinag Solutions on its 10th anniversary. Your expertise in Enterprise Architecture and information technology have been instrumental in the growth of the ICT sector in the country. As the department tasked with building the nation’s ICT landscape, we DICT, commend Sinag Solutions for their outstanding contributions to digitizing the Philippines.” She closes her speech off with “we hope that our discussions today will help our stakeholders learn more about the critical factors that are crucial to achieving success in the digital economy. Further, we look forward to how our collaborations will allow us to build towards our shared goal of Digital Transformation starting with the foundational steps of connectivity and ICT-enabled development. Let us continue to concretize actions and solutions on Enterprise Architecture and the wider ICT ecosystem. Through our collective efforts, we can sooner move towards our vision of a thriving digital future.”
